The second is a conversion from my own workshop. It's a African/Middle Eastern style Diesel of british origin to be used on my former exhibition layout "Baghdad Railway".

Please see comments elsewhere regarding recoloring with Humbrol "authentic railway" colours.
... Dilemma between collector's value and proper colours!!Ich finde die gru"ne/weisse Lok

Trovo la loco verde /bianco
bellissima ed
interessantissima!
A clean loco in the sandy semi-desert will not stay clean for long! Can this loco be reserved for Saddam Hussein's personal train?! Epoch IV ?
Also in addition Lima made a military train with German DR markings complete with a "Super Gun" just the thing to be hauled by your locomotive! personnel coach can be a more modern UIC-X repainted with Arab inscription! Yes the Super gun that Saddam Hussein was accused to have by Bush and co!!
However some things sholdn't leave junior toy layouts and there is a lot of licence! Not very educational either!
Under Links of the BritishLimaHO there a link to real facts about real class 33 locos and locos with similar diesel motor.
In actual fact in that part of the world for many years there were (may be still are) LMS stile 8F 2-8-0 (1-D) locos converted for oil burning. Known in Italy as gruppo 737. I remember an article in Railway magazine at time about their fate in the 1991 Gulf war.
Note in Italia come Gr. 737.
